Hello everyone. My name is Mobolaji Adebayo and I’m a data analyst. You can check my LinkedIn page for more details about my work.
I am starting my newsletter a year after schedule because I have procrastinated so much but all that’s about to change once I click the send button.
What is my newsletter about?
It’s about the most interesting insight from a given dataset. Call it a newsletter that explains data using visuals/visualization and you will be correct. I promise it will catch your attention: a single visualization and a key insight every Friday.
That’s not all.
On the last Sunday of every month, I will share an interesting data story (max 1,000 words) with you too. Think of it as a full-course meal.
Why am I starting this newsletter?
“According to the latest estimates, 402.74 million terabytes of data are created each day. (“Created” includes data that is newly generated, captured, copied, or consumed). In zettabytes, that equates to around 147 zettabytes per year, around 12 zettabytes per month, 2.8 zettabytes per week, or 0.4 zettabytes every day.” -Statista
It’s clear that we live in a data-driven world and the humongous amount of data we create and consume can be overwhelming to make sense of. This is why data visualization and data storytelling exist. They cut through the noise and reduce the complexity of data for clarity.
You will receive a copy of the weekly newsletter every Friday at 6 PM (WAT) and the monthly version every Sunday at 5 PM (WAT).
Awesome. Looking forward to this. Lfg!
Excited about this , LFG 🚀
